This weekend, we’re involved in 2 marathons on opposite sides of the world. We recently designed the Nike event experience and retail presence for the Chicago Marathon, one of the biggest retail moments of the year for the brand, working with the incredible identity assets developed by local Chicago illustrator Mike Mcquade. Follow the experience as it ramps up over the next few days on Instagram via #ownchicago or webstagram it.
At the same time, I’m running the Melbourne Marathon along with a group of other local designers. This year has added purpose as we’re raising funds for a cause that’s close to home. In 2012 a close Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) colleague and friend Quentin Brown from Canyon was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at age 40. Q tells his story best in his own words, on the Shake it Up Foundation’s website at here.
We’d love for you to sponsor this cause and give as freely as you can to help support Quentin and all sufferers of Parkinson’s Disease. For those who would like to show your support, please view our fundraising page here.
