The Melbourne Sandbelt

With a rich and proud affiliation spanning over 80 years, it was interesting to learn that no identity had ever been created for the world famous Melbourne Sandbelt group of clubs. Comprised of eight of Australia’s premier courses, the Sandbelt has been host to many of the greatest moments in Australian golf at tournaments such as the Australian Open, Australian Masters, Australian PGA’s and President’s Cup.

Our objective was to create a unifying brand platform that could harness the massive international exposure the Sandbelt clubs attract, creating a powerful shared asset that could help drive visitation, attendance and brand awareness within Australia, The US and around the world. The solution entailed a nuanced identity system that includes a suitably refined emblem and a series of logo configurations that are tailored to official club, domestic and international usage.
